Al Rajhi (Toyota Hilux Overdrive) was the fastest on the longest stage of this Dakar 2022 (462 kms), but a 2-minute penalty dropped him to fifth position and gives the victory to Nasser Al-Attiyah (Toyota GR DKR Hilux T1 +).
Sébastien Loeb (Prodrive Hunter BRX T1 +) finished second at 25 seconds and Carlos Sainz (Audi RS Q e-tron) third despite opening the track today.
There have been several retirements today among the favorites: Henk Lategan (Toyota GR DKR Hilux) retires after a mechanical breakdown, like Stéphane Peterhansel (Audi RS Q e-tron), Nani Roma (Prodrive Hunter BRX T1 +) damaged his car after dump and although he tried to repair the damage he has not been able to continue. In the General Classification, Nasser Al-Attiyah is still in the lead, Sébastien Loeb second and local driver Al Rajhi third.
In Light Prototype another victory for Seth Quintero (OT3 - O2) followed by Guillaume De Mevius (OT3 - O2) and third Francisco López Contardo (CAN-AM XRS).
In General Francisco López Contardo is the outstanding leader, second is Sebastian Eriksson and third is Philippe Pinchedez (CAN - AM T3RR).
Today for the victory in SSV it was the turn of Michal Goczal (BRP CAN-AM Maverik XRS), Rodrigo Luppi de Oliveira (BRP CAN-AM Maverik XRS) and third Austin Jones (BRP CAN-AM Maverik XRS).
In the General Classification, Austin Jones remains first, Rodrigo Luppi de Oliveira second and Michal Goczal places third and overtakes Gerad Farrés.

Attiyah gana y se beneficia de una sanción contra Al Rajhi - Etapa 4 - Día 5 - Rally Dakar 2022
Al Rajhi (Toyota Hilux Overdrive) fue el más rápido en la etapa más larga de este Dakar 2022 (462 kms), pero una sanción de 2 minutos le hizo caer hasta la quinta posición y da la victoria a Nasser Al-Attiyah (Toyota GR DKR Hilux T1 +).
Sébastien Loeb (Prodrive Hunter BRX T1+) finalizó segundo a 25 segundos y tercero Carlos Sainz (Audi RS Q e-tron) a pesar de abrir hoy pista.
Varios han sido los abandonos hoy entre los favoritos: Henk Lategan (Toyota GR DKR Hilux) se retira tras una avería mecánica, igual que Stéphane Peterhansel (Audi RS Q e-tron), Nani Roma (Prodrive Hunter BRX T1+) dañó su coche tras volcar y aunque intentó reparar los desperfectos no ha podido continuar. Mañana se reenganchará pero con una sanción de 16 horas.
En la clasificación General sigue en cabeza Nasser Al-Attiyah, segundo Sébastien Loeb y tercero el piloto local Al Rajhi.

Attiyah gagne et bénéficie d'un penalty contre Al Rajhi - Étape 4 - Jour 5 - Rallye Dakar 2022
Al Rajhi (Toyota Hilux Overdrive) a été le plus rapide sur la plus longue étape de ce Dakar 2022 (462 kms), mais une pénalité de 2 minutes l'a fait chuter en cinquième position et donne la victoire à Nasser Al-Attiyah (Toyota GR DKR Hilux T1 + ).
Sébastien Loeb (Prodrive Hunter BRX T1 +) a terminé deuxième à 25 secondes et Carlos Sainz (Audi RS Q e-tron) troisième malgré l'ouverture de la piste aujourd'hui.
Il y a eu plusieurs abandons aujourd'hui parmi les favoris : Henk Lategan (Toyota GR DKR Hilux) abandonne suite à une panne mécanique, tout comme Stéphane Peterhansel (Audi RS Q e-tron), Nani Roma (Prodrive Hunter BRX T1+) a endommagé sa voiture après largage. et bien qu'il ait essayé de réparer les dégâts, il n'a pas pu continuer. Demain, il se réengage mais avec une pénalité de 16 heures.
Au Classement Général, Nasser Al-Attiyah est toujours en tête, Sébastien Loeb deuxième et le pilote local Al Rajhi troisième.
