Craig Breen R.I.P. - A new star shines in the sky

Absolute sadness after learning of the death of the Irish driver Craig Breen while he was doing some tests in Croatia, with the aim of preparing together with the Hyundai team for the Croatia Rally of the WRC.

According to several witnesses, the Hyundai i20 N Rally1 driven by Breen left the road and hit a wooden post. With such bad luck that the strong blow ended the life of the Irish of only 33 years. His co-driver James Fulton was uninjured and is doing well.

Craig Breen enjoyed a great career with 5 WRC podiums, the last of which was at this year's Rally Sweden where he finished second.

In the ERC he achieved 5 victories, in addition to a second and 2 third places in the general classification.

His first big title was the victory in the WRC Academy that made him known with a Ford Fiesta R2.

In 2012 in a very similar accident, Breen lost his co-driver Gareth Roberts in the Rally Targa Florio.

Tristeza absoluta tras conocer el fallecimiento del piloto irlandés Craig Breen mientras realizaba unos test en Croacia, con el objetivo de prepararse junto al equipo Hyundai para el Croatia Rally del WRC.

Según varios testigos el Hyundai i20 N Rally1 pilotado por Breen se salía de la carretera y golpeaba contra un poste de madera. Con tal mala fortuna que el fuerte golpe acabó con la vida del irlandés de tan sólo 33 años. Su copiloto James Fulton salió ileso y está bien.

Craig Breen disfruto de una gran carrera con 5 podios en el WRC, el último de ellos en el Rally Sweden de este mismo año donde finalizó segundo.

En el ERC logró 5 victorias, además de un segundo y 2 terceros puestos en la clasificación general.

Su primer gran titulo fue la victoria en la WRC Academy que le dió a conocer con un Ford Fiesta R2.

En 2012 en un accidente muy parecido, Breen perdió a su copiloto Gareth Roberts en el Rally Targa Florio.

Tristesse absolue après avoir appris le décès du pilote irlandais Craig Breen alors qu'il effectuait des essais en Croatie, dans le but de préparer avec l'équipe Hyundai le Croatia Rally du WRC.

Selon plusieurs témoins, la Hyundai i20 N Rally1 conduite par Breen a quitté la route et a heurté un poteau en bois. Avec une telle malchance que le coup dur a mis fin à la vie de l'Irlandais de seulement 33 ans. Son copilote James Fulton n'a pas été blessé et se porte bien.

Craig Breen a connu une belle carrière avec 5 podiums en WRC, le dernier étant au Rally Sweden plus tôt cette année où il a terminé deuxième.
