This year the Portuguese championship will have a nice duel between the current champion Kris Meeke who leaves the Hyundai team and goes to defend the colors of the Toyota team.
His main rival will be Dani Sordo who takes the place of the British in the Hyundai team.
In the first race of the season at Fafe, Kris Meeke (Toyota GR Yaris Rally2) took victory in a tricky rally marked by rain and mud. In these conditions Meeke has been very comfortable and made an incredible debut with his new Toyota.
Dani Sordo (Hyundai i20 N Rally2) has finished second, his lack of pace was noticeable at the start, even when he suffered a puncture but as the rally progressed he cut back on the lead. In the last stage of the rally has achieved victory in the Power Stage gaining valuable points for the championship.
It seems that these two drivers will encourage the Portuguese championship and throughout the season we will pay close attention to their evolutions.
The last place on the podium went to Portuguese driver Armindo Ara煤jo (艩koda Fabia RS Rally2) who has been the only one holding the pace of the two World Championship drivers but with a considerable difference of more than a minute.

Este a帽o el campeonato portugu茅s tendr谩 un bonito duelo entre el actual campe贸n Kris Meeke que deja el equipo Hyundai y pasa a defender los colores del equipo Toyota.
Su m谩ximo rival ser谩 Dani Sordo que ocupa el lugar del brit谩nico en el equipo Hyundai.
En la primera carrera de la temporada en Fafe, Kris Meeke (Toyota GR Yaris Rally2) se llev贸 la victoria en un rally complicado marcado por la lluvia y el barro. En estas condiciones Meeke se ha sentido muy c贸modo y ha hecho un debut incre铆ble con su nuevo Toyota.
Dani Sordo (Hyundai i20 N Rally2) ha finalizado segundo, al inicio se ha notado su falta de ritmo, incluso mermado por un pinchazo pero seg煤n avanzaba el rally ha recortado distancia con el liderato. En la 煤ltima especial del rally ha logrado la victoria en la Power Stage consiguiendo unos valiosos puntos para el campeonato.
Parece que estos dos pilotos animar谩n al campeonato portugu茅s y durante toda la temporada prestaremos mucha atenci贸n a sus evoluciones.
El 煤ltimo lugar del podio ha sido para el piloto portugu茅s Armindo Ara煤jo (艩koda Fabia RS Rally2) que ha sido el 煤nico que ha aguantando el ritmo de los 2 pilotos mundialistas pero a una considerable diferencia de m谩s de un minuto.

Quest'anno il campionato portoghese avr脿 un bel duello tra l'attuale campione Kris Meeke che lascia il team Hyundai e passa a difendere i colori del team Toyota.
Il suo pi霉 grande rivale sar脿 Dani Sordo che occupa il posto del britannico nel team Hyundai.
Nella prima gara della stagione a Fafe, Kris Meeke (Toyota GR Yaris Rally2) ha conquistato la vittoria in un rally difficile segnato da pioggia e fango. In queste condizioni, Meeke si 猫 sentito a suo agio e ha fatto un debutto incredibile con la sua nuova Toyota.
Dani Sordo (Hyundai i20 N Rally2) 猫 arrivato secondo, all'inizio si 猫 notato la sua mancanza di ritmo, anche rallentato da una foratura ma mentre il rally avanzava ha tagliato distanza con il leader. Nell'ultima speciale del rally ha ottenuto la vittoria al Power Stage conquistando punti preziosi per il campionato.
