Thierry Neuville (Hyundai i20 N Rally1) started the 2024 season in the best possible way with a solid victory with the maximum possible points haul.
This season Kalle Rovanperä will only participate in some rallies because he must comply with his country's mandatory military service. In this way, Neuville with this victory is one of the main candidates to be world champion.
The Belgian driver achieved a sensational comeback on Saturday, beating the Toyotas of Sébastien Ogier (Toyota GR Yaris Rally1) and Elfyn Evans (Toyota GR Yaris Rally1).
After Saturday's day, Neuville led the rally by just 3.3 seconds ahead of Ogier. While Evans was already established on the podium, more than 30 seconds behind the head of the race.
During the last day Neuville did not take his foot off the accelerator, increasing the lead over the French to 16 seconds and achieving the Power Stage victory.
The podium was completed in second by Sébastien Ogier and third by Elfyn Evans.
The rest of Rally1 had several problems, Ott Tänak (Hyundai i20 N Rally1) was fourth, very far from the podium due to accelerator problems.
Fifth position for a good Adrien Fourmaux (Ford Puma Rally1) who, despite the Ford's lower level compared to its rivals, achieves an interesting position for M-Sport.
Sixth place for a discreet Andreas Mikkelsen (Hyundai i20 N Rally1) who in his debut with Hyundai is still adapting to the top category.
Seventh position for a disappointing Takamoto Katsuta (Toyota GR Yaris Rally1) who was very lacking in pace, and also suffered a road exit that caused him to lose a lot of time.
In WRC2 victory by the horn in the last special stage of the rally by Yohan Rossel (Citroën C3 Rally2). The French driver, thanks to a good choice of tires, overtook Nikolay Gryazin (Citroën C3 Rally2) who collapsed in the last stages, finishing in third position.
The Spanish Pepe López (Škoda Fabia RS Rally2), very effective during the weekend, was second after being overtaken in the last special by a motivated Rossel who only needed victory on French roads.
The next WRC race will be Rally Sweden (02/15-18/2024).

Thierry Neuville (Hyundai i20 N Rally1) comenzó la temporada 2024 de la mejor manera posible con una solvente victoria con el máximo botÃn de puntos posibles.
Esta temporada Kalle Rovanperä tan solo participará en algunos rallyes debido a que debe cumplir con el servicio militar obligatorio de su paÃs. De esta manera Neuville con esta victoria es uno de los principales candidatos a ser campeón del mundo.
El piloto belga logró una sensacional remontada en la jornada del sábado superando a los Toyota de Sébastien Ogier (Toyota GR Yaris Rally1) y Elfyn Evans (Toyota GR Yaris Rally1).
Tras la jornada del sábado Neuville lideraba el rally por tan solo 3.3 segundos de ventaja frente a Ogier. Mientras Evans ya estaba afianzado en el podio a más de 30 segundos de la cabeza de carrera.
Durante la última jornada Neuville no levantó el pie del acelerador aumentando la ventaja con el francés a 16 segundos y logrando la victoria de la Power Stage.
El podio lo completaron segundo Sébastien Ogier y tercero Elfyn Evans.
El resto de Rally1 tuvieron varios problemas, Ott Tänak (Hyundai i20 N Rally1) fue cuarto muy lejos del podio debido a problemas de acelerador.
Quinta posición para un buen Adrien Fourmaux (Ford Puma Rally1) que a pesar del menor nivel del Ford respecto a sus rivales consigue una interesante posición para M-Sport.
Sexto lugar para un discreto Andreas Mikkelsen (Hyundai i20 N Rally1) que en su debut con Hyundai aún sigue adaptándose a la máxima categorÃa.
Séptima posición para un decepcionante Takamoto Katsuta (Toyota GR Yaris Rally1) muy falto de ritmo, además sufrió una salida de carretera que le hizo perder mucho tiempo.
En WRC2 victoria sobre la bocina en la última especial del rally de Yohan Rossel (Citroën C3 Rally2). El piloto francés gracias a una buena elección de neumáticos sobrepasó a Nikolay Gryazin (Citroën C3 Rally2) que se vino abajo en las últimas especiales finalizando en tercera posición.
El español Pepe López (Å koda Fabia RS Rally2) muy eficaz durante el fin de semana fue segundo tras ser superado en la última especial por un motivado Rossel al que solo le servÃa la victoria en las carreteras francesas.
La próxima carrera del WRC será el Rally Sweden (15-18/02/2024).

Thierry Neuville (Hyundai i20 N Rally1) a démarré la saison 2024 de la meilleure des manières avec une solide victoire avec le maximum de points possible.
Cette saison, Kalle Rovanperä ne participera qu'à quelques rallyes car il doit accomplir le service militaire obligatoire de son pays. Neuville avec cette victoire est ainsi l'un des principaux candidats au titre de champion du monde.
Le pilote belge a réalisé un retour sensationnel samedi en battant les Toyota de Sébastien Ogier (Toyota GR Yaris Rally1) et Elfyn Evans (Toyota GR Yaris Rally1).
Après la journée de samedi, Neuville menait le rallye avec seulement 3,3 secondes d'avance sur Ogier. Alors qu'Evans était déjà titularisé sur le podium, à plus de 30 secondes de la tête de la course.
Lors de la dernière journée, Neuville n'a pas levé le pied de l'accélérateur, augmentant son avance sur le Français à 16 secondes et remportant la Power Stage.
Le podium est complété en deuxième position par Sébastien Ogier et en troisième par Elfyn Evans.
Le reste du Rally1 a connu plusieurs problèmes, Ott Tänak (Hyundai i20 N Rally1) était quatrième, très loin du podium en raison de problèmes d'accélérateur.
Cinquième position pour un bon Adrien Fourmaux (Ford Puma Rally1) qui, malgré le niveau inférieur de Ford par rapport à ses rivaux, réalise une position intéressante pour M-Sport.
Sixième place pour un discret Andreas Mikkelsen (Hyundai i20 N Rally1) qui, pour ses débuts avec Hyundai, continue de s'adapter à la catégorie reine.
Septième position pour un décevant Takamoto Katsuta (Toyota GR Yaris Rally1) qui manquait beaucoup de rythme, et subissait également une sortie de route qui lui faisait perdre beaucoup de temps.
En WRC2 victoire au klaxon dans la dernière spéciale du rallye par Yohan Rossel (Citroën C3 Rally2). Le pilote français, grâce à un bon choix de pneumatiques, a dépassé Nikolay Gryazin (Citroën C3 Rally2) qui s'est effondré dans les dernières spéciales, terminant en troisième position.
L'Espagnol Pepe López (Škoda Fabia RS Rally2), très efficace durant le week-end, s'est classé deuxième après avoir été dépassé dans la dernière spéciale par un Rossel motivé qui n'avait besoin que de la victoire sur les routes françaises.
La prochaine course du WRC sera le Rally Sweden (15/02-18/2024).

Thierry Neuville (Hyundai i20 N Rally1) ha iniziato la stagione 2024 nel miglior modo possibile con una solida vittoria e il massimo punteggio possibile.
In questa stagione Kalle Rovanperä parteciperà solo ad alcune manifestazioni perché deve rispettare il servizio militare obbligatorio previsto dal suo Paese. In questo modo Neuville con questa vittoria è uno dei principali candidati a diventare campione del mondo.
Sabato il pilota belga ha realizzato una clamorosa rimonta, battendo le Toyota di Sébastien Ogier (Toyota GR Yaris Rally1) ed Elfyn Evans (Toyota GR Yaris Rally1).
Dopo la giornata di sabato, Neuville ha guidato il rally con soli 3,3 secondi di vantaggio su Ogier. Mentre Evans era già sul podio, a più di 30 secondi dalla testa della corsa.
Nell'ultima giornata Neuville non ha staccato il piede dall'acceleratore, portando il vantaggio sul francese a 16 secondi e conquistando la vittoria della Power Stage.
Il podio è stato completato al secondo posto da Sébastien Ogier e al terzo da Elfyn Evans.
Il resto del Rally1 ha avuto diversi problemi, Ott Tänak (Hyundai i20 N Rally1) è arrivato quarto, molto lontano dal podio a causa di problemi all'acceleratore.
Quinta posizione per un buon Adrien Fourmaux (Ford Puma Rally1) che, nonostante il livello inferiore della Ford rispetto ai rivali, realizza una posizione interessante per la M-Sport.
Sesto posto per un discreto Andreas Mikkelsen (Hyundai i20 N Rally1) che al debutto con Hyundai si sta ancora adattando alla massima categoria.
Settima posizione per un deludente Takamoto Katsuta (Toyota GR Yaris Rally1) che ha mancato molto di ritmo, oltre ad aver subito un'uscita di strada che gli ha fatto perdere molto tempo.
Nel WRC2 vittoria a gran voce nell'ultima prova speciale del rally di Yohan Rossel (Citroën C3 Rally2). Il pilota francese, grazie ad una buona scelta di gomme, ha superato Nikolay Gryazin (Citroën C3 Rally2) crollato nelle ultime fasi, chiudendo in terza posizione.
Lo spagnolo Pepe López (Škoda Fabia RS Rally2), molto efficace durante il fine settimana, è arrivato secondo dopo essere stato superato nell'ultima speciale da un motivato Rossel a cui mancava solo la vittoria sulle strade francesi.
La prossima gara del WRC sarà il Rally Sweden (15-18/02/2024).
