One more year the European championship begins the season on the Course de Côte St-Jean-du-Gard - Col St-Pierre in France.

Despite the change in the regulations of the European Championship, the winner has once again been Christian Merli (Osella FA30) although it is true that the differences between the drivers have reduced and it seems that this 2023 season is going to be very even and disputed.

In Category 2, as we said before, Merli was the fastest, surprisingly second was Joseba Iraola (Nova NP01) just 2.7 seconds behind the Italian driver. Exceptional start to the season for the Spanish driver.

Third was the Czech Petr Trnka (Norma M20 FC) 5 seconds behind first place, these differences last year would be unthinkable.

Next he finished 4th Corentin Starck (Nova NP01-2) making a great debut in the championship, 5th Sébastien Petit (Osella PA30) with his new vehicle, 6th Alexander Hin (Osella FA30), 7th Pascal Campi (Osella PA21 Evo), 8th Franck Bellieres (Osella PA27)...

In Category 1 the winner was the French Nicolas Werver (Porsche 997 GT3R), second but very close to first place, just 1.7 seconds behind, was the Italian Luca Gaetani (Porsche 911 GT3 R). It seems that these two pilots together with Ronnie Bratschi (Mitsubishi Lancer Evo VII RS) will be the main protagonists of the category.

The last place on the podium went to the Polish Karol Krupa (Skoda Fabia CT) with his beautiful HillClimb Monster just 5 seconds behind first place. We are going to have a lot of fun this year especially in this category due to the great equality of vehicles thanks to the Performance Factor.

The Top Ten was completed by 4th Igor Stefanovski (Hyundai i30 TCR), 5th Milovan Vesnic (Audi RS3 LMS), 6th José Alonso (Ginetta G50 GT4), 7th Nicolas Granier (Seat Cupra Cup Racer MK3), 8th Matija Jurisic (Skoda Fabia S2000) , 9th Maciej Serafin (Mitsubishi Lancer Evo X), 10th Anže Dovjak (Hyundai i30 TCR)...

Une année de plus, le championnat d'Europe débute la saison sur la Course de Côte St-Jean-du-Gard - Col St-Pierre en France.

Malgré le changement de règlement du Championnat d'Europe, le vainqueur a encore une fois été Christian Merli (Osella FA30) même s'il est vrai que les écarts entre les pilotes se sont réduits et il semble que cette saison 2023 s'annonce très homogène et disputée. .

Dans la Catégorie 2, comme nous l'avons déjà dit, Merli était le plus rapide, étonnamment deuxième Joseba Iraola (Nova NP01) à seulement 2,7 secondes du pilote italien. Début de saison exceptionnel pour le pilote espagnol.

Troisième était le Tchèque Petr Trnka (Norma M20 FC) à 5 secondes de la première place, ces différences l'an dernier auraient été impensables.

A pesar del cambio de reglamentación del campeonato de Europa, el ganador ha sido de nuevo Christian Merli (Osella FA30) aunque si es verdad que las diferencias entre los pilotos se han reducido y parece que esta temporada 2023 va a ser muy igualada y disputada.

En la Categoría 2 como decíamos anteriormente Merli ha sido el más rápido, sorprendentemente segundo ha sido Joseba Iraola (Nova NP01) a tan sólo 2.7 segundos del piloto italiano. Excepcional inicio de temporada para el piloto español.

Tercero ha sido el checo Petr Trnka (Norma M20 FC) a 5 segundos del primer puesto, estas diferencias el año pasado serían impensables.

Por último en el campeonato francés en la categoría Série A el ganador ha sido Geoffrey Schatz (Nova Proto NP01-2). Ha estado muy cerca de conseguir el récord de la carrera y ha mejorado los tiempos de Merli que como hemos comentado anteriormente afectado por el cambio del reglamento europeo.

Han completado el podio ha casi 8 segundos de diferencia 2º Marc Pernot (Nova Proto NP01-Turbo) y tercero Fabien Bourgeon (Revolt 3P0).
