(English Version)

After the RallyRACC, the WRC says goodbye to the 2022 season in Japan, the home of Toyota.

Ott T盲nak (Hyundai i20 N Rally1) finished second in his farewell rally for the Hyundai team, the fate of the Estonian driver for the upcoming season is not yet known.

Takamoto Katsuta (Toyota GR Yaris Rally1) was the best Toyota, achieving a podium at home, benefiting from punctures and mistakes made by his teammates Kalle Rovanper盲 (Toyota GR Yaris Rally1), Elfyn Evans (Toyota GR Yaris Rally1) and S茅bastien Ogier (Toyota GR Yaris Rally1). The heavy rain that drenched the Japanese stages did not help the Toyotas either.

Fourth place went to S茅bastien Ogier (Toyota GR Yaris Rally1), fifth place to Elfyn Evans (Toyota GR Yaris Rally1) and sixth place to Gus Greensmith (Ford Puma Rally1). With this result, together with the retirement of Kajetan Kajetanowicz (艩koda Fabia Rally2 evo) due to an accident, Emil Lindholm becomes WRC2 champion.

It is worth commenting on the good rally of former F1 driver and Japanese rally champion Heikki Kovalainen (艩koda Fabia R5) who finished in fourth position.

The season is over and all eyes are already on 2023, especially in the Rallye Monte-Carlo (19-22/01/2023).
