Sébastien Ogier (Toyota GR Yaris Rally1) claimed victory at the Rally Islas Canarias 2026 after an intense battle with Oliver Solberg (Toyota GR Yaris Rally1), which ended dramatically on the penultimate stage when the young driver crashed while fighting for the lead.
The rally was largely dominated by Toyota at the front, especially on the fast and technical asphalt stages, where the GR Yaris Rally1 once again proved its superiority over its rivals.
Oliver Solberg kept the pressure on throughout the weekend and managed to close the gap to Sébastien Ogier before the final stages, but his off-road moment handed the victory to the Frenchman, who controlled the gap until the finish.
Behind him, Elfyn Evans (Toyota GR Yaris Rally1) secured second place, while Sami Pajari (Toyota GR Yaris Rally1) completed the podium, confirming Toyota’s dominance.
Takamoto Katsuta (Toyota GR Yaris Rally1) finished fourth and Adrien Fourmaux (Hyundai i20 N Rally1) completed the top five as the best-placed Hyundai in a difficult rally for the Korean manufacturer.
Further back, Thierry Neuville (Hyundai i20 N Rally1) and Dani Sordo (Hyundai i20 N Rally1) managed to finish inside the top 10, although without the pace to challenge the leading positions.

In WRC2, victory went to Yohan Rossel (Lancia Ypsilon Rally2), who delivered a very solid performance from the start of the rally, maintaining a consistent pace on demanding tarmac stages where consistency proved crucial. The French driver avoided mistakes and managed the pressure perfectly in a highly competitive category.
Second place went to Alejandro Cachón (Toyota GR Yaris Rally2), who once again showed strong pace on asphalt and remained in the fight for victory for much of the rally. The Spanish driver stood out especially on the most technical stages but ultimately couldn’t close the gap to Rossel in the final part.
The podium was completed by Eric Camilli (Škoda Fabia RS Rally2), who stayed among the frontrunners throughout a category marked by constant position changes and very small time gaps between the top contenders.

In WRC3, victory went to Gil Membrado (Ford Fiesta Rally3), who secured his first win on asphalt at world level after a very strategic and consistent performance throughout the Rally Islas Canarias, also becoming the new championship leader.
Second place went to Tymek Abramowski (Ford Fiesta Rally3), who fought for the win until the final stages, while third place was taken by Ghjuvanni Rossi (Ford Fiesta Rally3), consistent throughout the rally and always within podium positions.
The next WRC round will be Rally de Portugal (07–10/05/2026).

Sébastien Ogier (Toyota GR Yaris Rally1) se llevó la victoria en el Rally Islas Canarias 2026 tras un intenso duelo con Oliver Solberg (Toyota GR Yaris Rally1), que terminó de forma dramática en el penúltimo tramo cuando el joven piloto sufrió un accidente mientras luchaba por el liderato.
El rally estuvo dominado en gran parte por Toyota en cabeza, especialmente en los exigentes tramos de asfalto rápido y técnico, donde el GR Yaris Rally1 volvió a marcar diferencias frente a sus rivales.
Oliver Solberg mantuvo la presión durante todo el fin de semana y llegó a situarse muy cerca de Sébastien Ogier antes del desenlace, pero su salida de carretera dejó el camino libre al francés, que gestionó la ventaja hasta el final con total control.
Por detrás, Elfyn Evans (Toyota GR Yaris Rally1) aseguró la segunda posición, mientras que Sami Pajari (Toyota GR Yaris Rally1) completó el podio, confirmando el dominio absoluto de Toyota.
Takamoto Katsuta (Toyota GR Yaris Rally1) finalizó cuarto y Adrien Fourmaux (Hyundai i20 N Rally1) cerró el top 5 como el mejor Hyundai en una prueba complicada para la marca.

El francés supo evitar errores y gestionar perfectamente la presión en una categoría extremadamente igualada.
La segunda posición fue para Alejandro Cachón (Toyota GR Yaris Rally2), que volvió a demostrar un gran nivel sobre asfalto, manteniéndose durante gran parte del rally en la lucha directa por la victoria. El piloto español destacó especialmente en los tramos más técnicos, aunque finalmente no pudo recortar la diferencia con Rossel en la parte decisiva.
El podio lo completó Eric Camilli (Škoda Fabia RS Rally2), que se mantuvo siempre en posiciones delanteras en una categoría marcada por los constantes cambios en la clasificación y las pequeñas diferencias entre los favoritos.

Sébastien Ogier (Toyota GR Yaris Rally1) ha conquistato la vittoria al Rally Islas Canarias 2026 dopo un intenso duello con Oliver Solberg (Toyota GR Yaris Rally1), terminato in modo drammatico nella penultima speciale quando il giovane pilota è uscito di strada mentre era in lotta per il comando.
Il rally è stato in gran parte dominato da Toyota nelle posizioni di vertice, soprattutto sui veloci e tecnici tratti asfaltati, dove la GR Yaris Rally1 ha dimostrato ancora una volta la sua superiorità.
Oliver Solberg ha mantenuto la pressione per tutto il weekend ed è riuscito ad avvicinarsi a Sébastien Ogier prima delle fasi decisive, ma il suo errore ha spalancato la porta al francese, che ha gestito il vantaggio fino al traguardo senza problemi.

Sébastien Ogier (Toyota GR Yaris Rally1) a remporté le Rally Islas Canarias 2026 après un duel intense avec Oliver Solberg (Toyota GR Yaris Rally1), qui s’est terminé de manière dramatique dans l’avant-dernière spéciale lorsque le jeune pilote est sorti de la route alors qu’il luttait pour la tête.
Le rallye a été largement dominé par Toyota aux avant-postes, notamment sur les spéciales asphaltées rapides et techniques, où la GR Yaris Rally1 a une nouvelle fois démontré sa supériorité.
Oliver Solberg a maintenu la pression tout au long du week-end et est parvenu à se rapprocher de Sébastien Ogier avant les moments décisifs, mais sa sortie de route a offert la victoire au Français, qui a parfaitement géré son avance jusqu’à l’arrivée.
Derrière lui, Elfyn Evans (Toyota GR Yaris Rally1) a assuré la deuxième place, tandis que Sami Pajari (Toyota GR Yaris Rally1) a complété le podium, confirmant la domination de Toyota.
Takamoto Katsuta (Toyota GR Yaris Rally1) a terminé quatrième et Adrien Fourmaux (Hyundai i20 N Rally1) a complété le top 5 en tant que meilleur pilote Hyundai dans une épreuve compliquée pour le constructeur coréen.
