Rallye Sierra Morena 2024 🇪🇸 (TER) - Diego Ruiloba wins and adds excitement to the championship

First victory in the S-CER for Diego Ruiloba (Citroën C3 Rally2) which makes the Spanish championship even more exciting. The driver, who is only 23 years old, is already one of the favorites to be champion of Spain.

As in Lorca, the podium was once again made up of the 3 Asturian drivers.

From the beginning there was a great battle for first position between Ruiloba and Alejandro Cachón (Toyota Yaris Rally2), both showing great pace. During the afternoon of Saturday Ruiloba raised the level, achieving an advantage that he defended throughout the rally and together with 2 punctures from Cachón that left him a little off the hook in his options for victory.

José Antonio Suárez (Škoda Fabia RS Rally2) finished third and achieved scratch in the TC+ in a rally that did not feel comfortable at all.

Fourth position for the young Sergi Pérez (Hyundai i20 N Rally2) who took advantage of his rivals' mistakes, 5º Iván Ares (Hyundai i20 N Rally2) with mechanical problems, 6º Javier Pardo (Alpine A110 Rally RGT) adapting to the new car and achieving a scratch.

During the awards ceremony it was officially confirmed that starting next year the Rallye Sierra Morena will be part of the ERC.

The next S-CER race will be the Rally Islas Canarias (02-04/05/24).

Primera victoria en el S-CER de Diego Ruiloba (Citroën C3 Rally2) que pone aún más emocionante el campeonato español. El piloto de tan sólo 23 años es ya uno de los favoritos a ser campeón de España.

Al igual que en Lorca el podio volvió a estar formado por los 3 pilotos asturianos.

Desde el inicio gran batalla por la primera posición entre Ruiloba y Alejandro Cachón (Toyota Yaris Rally2) demostrando ambos un gran ritmo. Durante la tarde del sábado Ruiloba subió el nivel logrando una ventaja que defendió durante todo el rally y unido a 2 pinchazos de Cachón que le dejaron un poco descolgado en sus opciones a la victoria.

José Antonio Suárez (Škoda Fabia RS Rally2) finalizó tercero y logró el scratch en el TC+ en un rally que no se sintió nada cómodo.

Cuarta posición para el joven Sergi Pérez (Hyundai i20 N Rally2) que se aprovechó de los errores de sus rivales, 5º Iván Ares (Hyundai i20 N Rally2) con problemas mecánicos, 6º Javier Pardo (Alpine A110 Rally RGT) adaptándose al nuevo coche y logrando un scratch.

Prima vittoria nella S-CER per Diego Ruiloba (Citroën C3 Rally2) che rende il campionato spagnolo ancora più avvincente. Il pilota, che ha solo 23 anni, è già uno dei favoriti per il titolo di campione di Spagna.

Come a Lorca, il podio è stato ancora una volta composto dai 3 piloti asturiani.

Fin dall'inizio c'è stata una grande battaglia per la prima posizione tra Ruiloba e Alejandro Cachón (Toyota Yaris Rally2), entrambi mostrando un ottimo ritmo. Nel pomeriggio di sabato Ruiloba ha alzato il livello, ottenendo un vantaggio che ha difeso per tutto il rally e insieme a 2 forature di Cachón che lo hanno lasciato un po' fuori dai guai nelle sue possibilità di vittoria.

José Antonio Suárez (Škoda Fabia RS Rally2) è arrivato terzo e ha ottenuto ottimi risultati nel TC+ in un rally che non si è sentito affatto a suo agio.

Quarta posizione per il giovane Sergi Pérez (Hyundai i20 N Rally2) che ha approfittato degli errori dei suoi rivali, 5° Iván Ares (Hyundai i20 N Rally2) per problemi meccanici, 6° Javier Pardo (Alpine A110 Rally RGT) che si adatta alla nuova vettura e ottenere un graffio.

Comme à Lorca, le podium était une nouvelle fois composé des 3 pilotes asturiens.

Dès le début, il y a eu une belle bataille pour la première place entre Ruiloba et Alejandro Cachón (Toyota Yaris Rally2), tous deux affichant un bon rythme. Dans l'après-midi de samedi, Ruiloba a élevé le niveau, obtenant un avantage qu'il a défendu tout au long du rallye et avec 2 crevaisons de Cachón qui l'ont laissé un peu à l'écart dans ses options de victoire.

José Antonio Suárez (Škoda Fabia RS Rally2) a terminé troisième et a obtenu le scratch en TC+ dans un rallye qui ne s'est pas du tout senti à l'aise.

Quatrième position pour le jeune Sergi Pérez (Hyundai i20 N Rally2) qui a profité des erreurs de ses rivaux, 5º Iván Ares (Hyundai i20 N Rally2) avec des problèmes mécaniques, 6º Javier Pardo (Alpine A110 Rally RGT) s'adaptant à la nouvelle voiture et obtenir une égratignure.
