The Rampa da Falperra once again confirmed why it is one of the most iconic and eagerly awaited events of the European HillClimb Championship. The traditional Portuguese hill climb, held near Braga, once again brought together the leading contenders of the continental series for a weekend marked by remarkable competitiveness and intense battles across every category.
Overall Classification (Scratch)
The Rampa da Falperra delivered one of the closest finishes of the season, with an intense battle among the top contenders and significant developments in the championship fight. Joseba Iraola Lanzagorta (Nova Proto NP01) claimed a prestigious victory, ending Christian Merli’s (Nova Proto NP01) winning streak and strengthening his bid for the European title.
Joseba Iraola Lanzagorta (Nova Proto NP01) secured one of the most important results of his career by taking his first victory at the Rampa da Falperra. After showing impressive pace in previous rounds, especially with his podium at the Subida Internacional al Fito, the Basque driver finally converted that speed into an overall win of enormous significance in the European championship.
Second place went to Petr Trnka (Nova Proto NP01-2 C), who delivered one of the standout stories of the weekend. The Czech driver arrived at the Rampa da Falperra just days after suffering a heavy crash at the Subida Internacional al Fito, where his car was seriously damaged following a dramatic off-road incident. Thanks to the intense efforts of his team, who managed to repair the car against the clock to make it to Braga, Trnka responded in the best possible way, fighting for victory until the very end and securing an impressive second-place finish.
Completing the overall podium was Christian Merli (Nova Proto NP01), who, after dominating the opening rounds of the season, had to settle this time for third place. The reigning European champion was unable to impose his usual pace at the Rampa da Falperra, but still collected valuable points and remains firmly among the favorites for the title.
European HillClimb Championship – Category 2
Category 2 once again stole much of the spotlight at the Rampa da Falperra, featuring an intense battle among the top prototype specialists and minimal differences between the leading contenders. The level of competition was exceptionally close, especially among the top three, who were separated by only a few tenths in one of the tightest finishes of the season.
Victory went to Joseba Iraola Lanzagorta (Nova Proto NP01), who delivered a major statement in the championship battle. After several seasons establishing himself among the fastest drivers in the series, the Spaniard finally secured a victory that places him firmly in title contention.
Second place went to Petr Trnka (Nova Proto NP01-2 C), whose performance carried added significance following his recent accident in Asturias. His rapid recovery and immediate return to fighting for victory confirm the Czech driver as one of the strongest contenders this season.
Third place was claimed by Christian Merli (Nova Proto NP01), who, despite missing out on another victory, remains the benchmark of the championship and keeps his title ambitions fully intact.
The fight for fourth place was also incredibly close, with Kevin Petit (Nova Proto NP01) edging out Alexander Hin (Nova Proto NP01) by the narrowest of margins after another tight battle between two drivers using the French-built prototypes.
Among the other standout names, Fausto Bormolini (Wolf Mistral) once again showed flashes of his vast experience, while O’Play (Nova Proto NP03) continues to gain valuable mileage and confidence. Also noteworthy was José Alonso Liste (Tatuus F3 T318), the only single-seater driver inside the Top Ten.

Category 1 once again delivered an intense battle at the Rampa da Falperra, with an incredibly close fight for every tenth of a second on one of the most demanding courses of the championship.
Victory went to Reto Meisel (Mercedes SLK 340 Judd), who claimed the win after setting a new course record in a top-level performance. The Swiss driver once again proved why he remains one of the leading figures of the category, making full use of his spectacular machine to secure a hard-fought victory.
Second place went to Javi Villa (BRC 110T), one of the biggest surprises of the weekend after remaining in contention for victory until the final moments and finishing just a few tenths behind. The Asturian driver once again demonstrated his outstanding hill climb competitiveness, extending the excellent form already shown at the Subida Internacional al Fito, where he claimed victory.
Third place was secured by José Antonio López-Fombona (Audi RS5 DTM), completing a strong performance and ensuring a notable Spanish double podium in the category. Both Villa and López-Fombona delivered an excellent display for Spanish motorsport at one of the toughest events on the European calendar.
The battle for fourth place also provided one of the closest duels of the weekend, with Domagoj Pereković (Mitsubishi Lancer Evo IX) narrowly defeating Patrick Cunha (Porsche 992 GT3 Cup) by just a few tenths after a hard-fought contest.
Another remarkable feature was the strong presence of the Porsche 992 GT3 Cup, with four consecutive entries inside the Top Ten, underlining the competitiveness of the model in a category that once again showcased an extremely high level.

La clásica subida portuguesa, disputada en las inmediaciones de Braga, reunió una vez más a los principales protagonistas del certamen continental en un fin de semana marcado por la enorme igualdad entre los favoritos y una batalla constante en cada una de las categorías.
Clasificación general (Scratch)
La Rampa da Falperra dejó una de las resoluciones más ajustadas de la temporada, con una intensa batalla entre los grandes favoritos y cambios importantes en la lucha por el campeonato. Joseba Iraola Lanzagorta (Nova Proto NP01) logró una victoria de enorme prestigio, poniendo fin a la racha triunfal de Christian Merli (Nova Proto NP01) y reforzando su candidatura al título europeo.
Joseba Iraola Lanzagorta (Nova Proto NP01) firmó uno de los resultados más importantes de su trayectoria deportiva al imponerse por primera vez en la Rampa da Falperra. Tras haber mostrado una velocidad muy sólida en las pruebas anteriores, especialmente con su podio en la Subida Internacional al Fito, el piloto vasco logró transformar definitivamente ese rendimiento en una victoria absoluta de enorme valor dentro del campeonato europeo.
En segunda posición finalizó Petr Trnka (Nova Proto NP01-2 C), protagonizando una de las historias más destacadas del fin de semana. El piloto checo llegaba a la Rampa da Falperra apenas unos días después del fuerte accidente sufrido en la Subida Internacional al Fito, donde dañó seriamente su vehículo tras una aparatosa salida. Gracias al intenso trabajo de su equipo, que logró reparar el coche a contrarreloj para estar presente en Braga, Trnka respondió de la mejor manera posible, luchando por la victoria hasta el último momento y logrando una meritoria segunda posición.
El podio absoluto lo completó Christian Merli (Nova Proto NP01), que tras dominar con autoridad el inicio del campeonato tuvo que conformarse esta vez con la tercera posición. El vigente campeón europeo no logró imponer su habitual ritmo en la Rampa da Falperra, aunque volvió a sumar puntos importantes y sigue plenamente situado como uno de los grandes favoritos al título.
European HillClimb Championship – Categoría 2
La Categoría 2 volvió a concentrar toda la atención en la Rampa da Falperra, con una intensa batalla entre los grandes especialistas de los prototipos y diferencias mínimas entre los principales aspirantes. La igualdad fue máxima, especialmente entre los tres primeros clasificados, separados por apenas unas décimas en uno de los desenlaces más ajustados de la temporada.
La victoria fue para Joseba Iraola Lanzagorta (Nova Proto NP01), que dio un importante golpe sobre la mesa en su lucha por el campeonato. Tras varias temporadas consolidándose entre los pilotos más rápidos del certamen, el español logró finalmente una victoria que le sitúa de lleno en la pelea por el título europeo.
En segunda posición terminó Petr Trnka (Nova Proto NP01-2 C), cuya actuación tuvo un valor especial tras el accidente sufrido en Asturias. Entre otros nombres destacados, Fausto Bormolini (Wolf Mistral) volvió a mostrar destellos de su enorme experiencia, mientras que O’Play (Nova Proto NP03) continúa acumulando kilómetros en su adaptación. También destacó la presencia de José Alonso Liste (Tatuus F3 T318), único representante dentro del Top Ten con un monoplaza.

La victoria fue para Reto Meisel (Mercedes SLK 340 Judd), que logró imponerse tras marcar un nuevo récord del trazado en una actuación de máximo nivel. El piloto suizo volvió a demostrar por qué es una de las grandes referencias de la categoría, aprovechando al máximo el potencial de su espectacular montura para llevarse una victoria muy trabajada.
En segunda posición terminó Javi Villa (BRC 110T), una de las grandes sorpresas del fin de semana tras mantenerse en la lucha por la victoria hasta el final y quedarse a apenas unas décimas del triunfo. El piloto asturiano volvió a demostrar su enorme competitividad en montaña con una actuación brillante, prolongando el gran momento mostrado ya en la Subida Internacional al Fito, donde logró hacerse con la victoria.
El tercer puesto fue para José Antonio López-Fombona (Audi RS5 DTM), que completó una sólida actuación para asegurar un destacado doble podio español en la categoría. Tanto Villa como López-Fombona dejaron una imagen muy positiva del automovilismo español en una de las citas más exigentes del calendario europeo.
La pelea por la cuarta posición también dejó uno de los duelos más ajustados del fin de semana, con Domagoj Pereković (Mitsubishi Lancer Evo IX) logrando imponerse por apenas unas décimas a Patrick Cunha (Porsche 992 GT3 Cup) tras una intensa batalla que se resolvió en los últimos compases de la prueba.

Joseba Iraola Lanzagorta (Nova Proto NP01) ha conquistato una vittoria di enorme prestigio, interrompendo la serie vincente di Christian Merli (Nova Proto NP01) e rafforzando la propria candidatura al titolo europeo.

L’equilibrio è stato massimo, soprattutto tra i primi tre classificati, separati da appena pochi decimi in uno dei finali più combattuti della stagione.
La vittoria è andata a Joseba Iraola Lanzagorta (Nova Proto NP01), che ha lanciato un messaggio importante nella lotta per il campionato. Dopo diverse stagioni tra i piloti più veloci del certamen, lo spagnolo ha finalmente ottenuto una vittoria che lo proietta pienamente nella corsa al titolo europeo.

La classique montée portugaise, disputée aux alentours de Braga, a réuni une nouvelle fois les principaux protagonistes du championnat continental lors d’un week-end marqué par une grande intensité et des écarts extrêmement réduits dans toutes les catégories.

La Rampa da Falperra a offert l’un des dénouements les plus serrés de la saison, avec une bataille intense entre les grands favoris et des changements importants dans la lutte pour le championnat. Joseba Iraola Lanzagorta (Nova Proto NP01) a signé une victoire de grand prestige, mettant fin à la série de succès de Christian Merli (Nova Proto NP01) et renforçant sa candidature au titre européen.
Joseba Iraola Lanzagorta (Nova Proto NP01) a décroché l’un des résultats les plus importants de sa carrière en remportant pour la première fois la Rampa da Falperra. Après avoir affiché une très belle vitesse lors des manches précédentes, notamment avec son podium à la Subida Internacional al Fito, le pilote basque a finalement transformé cette performance en une victoire absolue de grande valeur dans le championnat européen.
La deuxième place est revenue à Petr Trnka (Nova Proto NP01-2 C), auteur de l’une des plus belles histoires du week-end. Le pilote tchèque arrivait à la Rampa da Falperra quelques jours seulement après le violent accident subi lors de la Subida Internacional al Fito, où sa voiture avait été sérieusement endommagée après une sortie spectaculaire. Grâce au travail intensif de son équipe, qui a réussi à réparer la voiture contre la montre pour être présente à Braga, Trnka a répondu de la meilleure manière possible en luttant pour la victoire jusqu’au bout et en décrochant une remarquable deuxième place.
Le podium général a été complété par Christian Merli (Nova Proto NP01), qui, après avoir dominé le début du championnat, a dû cette fois se contenter de la troisième position. Le champion d’Europe en titre n’a pas réussi à imposer son rythme habituel à la Rampa da Falperra, mais il a tout de même marqué des points précieux et reste pleinement engagé dans la course au titre.
European HillClimb Championship – Catégorie 2
La Catégorie 2 a de nouveau concentré une grande partie de l’attention à la Rampa da Falperra, avec une lutte intense entre les meilleurs spécialistes des prototypes et des écarts minimes entre les principaux prétendants. L’égalité a été totale, notamment entre les trois premiers classés, séparés par seulement quelques dixièmes dans l’un des dénouements les plus disputés de la saison.
La victoire est revenue à Joseba Iraola Lanzagorta (Nova Proto NP01), qui a frappé un grand coup dans la lutte pour le championnat. Après plusieurs saisons à s’imposer parmi les pilotes les plus rapides du plateau, l’Espagnol a enfin obtenu une victoire qui le place pleinement dans la course au titre européen.
La deuxième place est revenue à Petr Trnka (Nova Proto NP01-2 C), dont la performance a eu une valeur particulière après son accident survenu en Asturies. Son rapide retour au plus haut niveau et sa capacité à lutter immédiatement pour la victoire confirment le pilote tchèque comme l’un des rivaux les plus solides de cette saison.
La troisième place a été obtenue par Christian Merli (Nova Proto NP01), qui, malgré l’arrêt de sa série victorieuse, reste la référence du championnat et conserve intactes ses ambitions pour le titre.
L’égalité a également marqué la lutte pour la quatrième position, avec Kevin Petit (Nova Proto NP01) qui s’est imposé de justesse face à Alexander Hin (Nova Proto NP01) après un autre duel très serré entre pilotes de la marque française.
Parmi les autres noms marquants, Fausto Bormolini (Wolf Mistral) a une nouvelle fois montré toute son expérience, tandis que O’Play (Nova Proto NP03) continue d’accumuler de précieux kilomètres dans son adaptation. Il faut également souligner la présence de José Alonso Liste (Tatuus F3 T318), seul pilote en monoplace à intégrer le Top Ten.

European HillClimb Championship – Catégorie 1
La Catégorie 1 a une nouvelle fois offert une bataille intense à la Rampa da Falperra, avec une lutte acharnée pour chaque dixième sur un tracé particulièrement exigeant.
La victoire est revenue à Reto Meisel (Mercedes SLK 340 Judd), qui s’est imposé après avoir établi un nouveau record du parcours dans une prestation de très haut niveau. Le pilote suisse a une nouvelle fois démontré pourquoi il reste l’une des grandes références de la catégorie, exploitant pleinement le potentiel de sa spectaculaire machine pour décrocher une victoire très disputée.
La deuxième place est revenue à Javi Villa (BRC 110T), l’une des grandes surprises du week-end, après être resté dans la lutte pour la victoire jusqu’au bout et avoir terminé à seulement quelques dixièmes. Le pilote asturien a une nouvelle fois démontré toute sa compétitivité en course de côte, prolongeant l’excellente forme déjà affichée à la Subida Internacional al Fito, où il avait décroché la victoire.
La troisième place a été obtenue par José Antonio López-Fombona (Audi RS5 DTM), auteur d’une solide performance qui a permis à l’Espagne de signer un remarquable double podium dans la catégorie. Villa et López-Fombona ont tous deux offert une image très positive du sport automobile espagnol lors de l’une des épreuves les plus exigeantes du calendrier européen.
La lutte pour la quatrième position a également offert l’un des duels les plus serrés du week-end, avec Domagoj Pereković (Mitsubishi Lancer Evo IX) qui a devancé de quelques dixièmes Patrick Cunha (Porsche 992 GT3 Cup) au terme d’une bataille très intense.
L’un des autres faits marquants a été la forte présence des Porsche 992 GT3 Cup, avec quatre voitures consécutives dans le Top Ten, illustrant parfaitement la compétitivité du modèle dans une catégorie au niveau particulièrement élevé.

Rampa da Falperra znovu potvrdila, proč patří mezi nejikoničtější a nejočekávanější podniky European HillClimb Championship. Tradiční portugalský závod do vrchu nedaleko Bragy opět přivítal hlavní protagonisty evropského šampionátu během víkendu plného napínavých soubojů a minimálních rozdílů napříč všemi kategoriemi.
Celkové pořadí (Scratch)
Rampa da Falperra přinesla jedno z nejtěsnějších rozuzlení letošní sezóny, s intenzivním bojem mezi hlavními favority a důležitými změnami v boji o titul. Joseba Iraola Lanzagorta (Nova Proto NP01) vybojoval velmi prestižní vítězství, čímž ukončil vítěznou sérii Christiana Merliho (Nova Proto NP01) a výrazně posílil své šance v boji o evropský titul.
Joseba Iraola Lanzagorta (Nova Proto NP01) dosáhl jednoho z nejvýznamnějších výsledků své kariéry, když poprvé triumfoval na Rampa da Falperra. Po velmi rychlých výkonech v předchozích závodech, zejména po pódiovém umístění na Subida Internacional al Fito, dokázal baskický jezdec konečně přetavit svou rychlost v celkové vítězství mimořádné hodnoty v evropském šampionátu.
Na druhém místě skončil Petr Trnka (Nova Proto NP01-2 C), který se postaral o jeden z nejsilnějších příběhů víkendu. Český jezdec přijel na Rampa da Falperra jen několik dní po těžké nehodě při Subida Internacional al Fito, kde byl jeho vůz vážně poškozen po dramatickém výletu mimo trať. Díky intenzivní práci svého týmu, který dokázal vůz opravit doslova na poslední chvíli, mohl v Braze startovat a odpověděl tím nejlepším možným způsobem – bojoval o vítězství až do samotného závěru a vybojoval skvělé druhé místo.
Celkové pódium doplnil Christian Merli (Nova Proto NP01), který po dominantním vstupu do sezóny tentokrát musel přijmout třetí místo. Úřadující evropský šampion nedokázal na Rampa da Falperra prosadit své obvyklé tempo, ale přesto si připsal důležité body a zůstává jedním z hlavních favoritů na titul.
European HillClimb Championship – Kategorie 2
Kategorie 2 znovu přitáhla velkou pozornost na Rampa da Falperra, kde se odehrál intenzivní souboj mezi nejlepšími specialisty na prototypy a minimální rozdíly mezi hlavními kandidáty. Vyrovnanost byla mimořádná, zejména mezi prvními třemi jezdci, které dělily jen desetiny sekundy.
Vítězství získal Joseba Iraola Lanzagorta (Nova Proto NP01), který výrazně promluvil do boje o šampionát. Po několika sezónách mezi nejrychlejšími jezdci seriálu se Španěl konečně dočkal vítězství, které ho plně zařazuje mezi kandidáty na evropský titul.
Druhé místo obsadil Petr Trnka (Nova Proto NP01-2 C), jehož výkon měl po nedávné nehodě v Asturii zvláštní význam. Jeho rychlý návrat a schopnost okamžitě bojovat o vítězství potvrzují českého jezdce jako jednoho z nejvážnějších soupeřů letošní sezóny.
Třetí skončil Christian Merli (Nova Proto NP01), který sice nerozšířil svou vítěznou sérii, ale zůstává hlavní referencí šampionátu a jeho ambice na titul zůstávají plně zachovány.
Velmi těsný byl také boj o čtvrté místo, kde Kevin Petit (Nova Proto NP01) porazil jen o nepatrný rozdíl Alexandera Hina (Nova Proto NP01) v dalším napínavém souboji mezi jezdci francouzské značky.
Mezi dalšími výraznými jmény znovu zaujal Fausto Bormolini (Wolf Mistral), který předvedl svou bohatou zkušenost, zatímco O’Play (Nova Proto NP03) pokračuje ve sbírání cenných kilometrů. Za zmínku stojí také José Alonso Liste (Tatuus F3 T318), jediný jezdec s formulovým vozem v Top Ten.

Vítězství získal Reto Meisel (Mercedes SLK 340 Judd), který triumfoval po vytvoření nového traťového rekordu. Švýcarský jezdec znovu ukázal, proč patří mezi hlavní postavy této kategorie, když naplno využil potenciál svého výjimečného vozu.
Na druhém místě skončil Javi Villa (BRC 110T), jedno z největších překvapení víkendu, který zůstal v boji o vítězství až do samotného konce a zaostal jen o několik desetin. Asturský jezdec opět potvrdil svou mimořádnou konkurenceschopnost v závodech do vrchu a navázal na vítězství z Subida Internacional al Fito.
Třetí místo obsadil José Antonio López-Fombona (Audi RS5 DTM), který zajistil výrazný dvojitý španělský úspěch na pódiu. Villa i López-Fombona zanechali velmi pozitivní dojem španělského motorsportu na jednom z nejnáročnějších podniků evropského kalendáře.
Souboj o čtvrté místo přinesl další velmi těsný duel, ve kterém Domagoj Pereković (Mitsubishi Lancer Evo IX) porazil o několik desetin Patricka Cunhu (Porsche 992 GT3 Cup).
Dalším zajímavým prvkem byla silná přítomnost vozů Porsche 992 GT3 Cup, které obsadily čtyři po sobě jdoucí místa v Top Ten a potvrdily svou konkurenceschopnost.
