After the Course de C么te St-Jean-du-Gard - Col St-Pierre in France, last weekend the second race of the European HillClimb Championship was held in Austria. The absolute victory and category 2 has been for the Italian Christian Merli (Osella FA30). As we have already discussed in the first race, the differences have been reduced due to the change in regulations.
Great battle for the second position in Category 2 that was decided by less than a second, finally Petr Trnka (Norma M20 FC) was second and Joseba Iraola (Nova NP01) was third. Great duels are expected this season between these two great drivers.
They have completed the Top Ten of Category 2: 4th Corentin Starck (Nova NP01-2), 5th Alexander Hin (Osella FA30), 6th S茅bastien Petit (Osella PA30), 7th Renzo Napione (Reynard 01L), 8th Hermann Waldy Jun (Tatuus Master W17), 9th Franco Berto (Tatuus FA010), 10th Josef Hlavinka (Gloria C8F)...
In Category 1 Karl Schagerl (VW Golf Rallye) was the great dominator, leading second place J枚rg Weidinger (BMW Z4 GT3) by 10 seconds.
Third but very close to second place was Reinhold Taus (Subaru Impreza P4 Turbo).

In the Slovenian championship, the podium was made up of 1st Milan Bubni膷 (Lancia Delta Integrale), 2nd An啪e Dovjak (Hyundai i30 TCR), 3rd Patrik Ruzzier (Fiat Punto KITCAR EVO).
The first three classified in the Slovakian championship were 1st Petr Trnka (Norma M20 FC), 2nd Marek Rybnicek (KTMX-BOWGTX), 3rd Karol Krupa (Skoda Fabia CT).
The 3 fastest drivers in the Austrian championship have been in category 1: 1st Karl Schagerl (VW Golf Rallye), 2nd Stefan Promok (Mitsubishi Lancer Evo VIII), 3rd Reinhold Taus (Subaru Impreza P4 Turbo). While in category 2: 1st Christian Merli (Osella FA30), 2nd Petr Trnka (Norma M20 FC), 3rd Corentin Starck (Nova NP01-2).
Rechbergrennen 2023 has been a real party with more than 200 registered drivers, the negative note has been the number of accidents that have slowed down the race, although fortunately none of them have been serious.
The next race of the European championship will be this week in Spain in the Subida Internacional al Fito (05/05-07/05).

Tras la Course de C么te St-Jean-du-Gard - Col St-Pierre en Francia, el pasado fin de semana se ha celebrado en Austria la segunda carrera del European HillClimb Championship. La victoria absoluta y de la categor铆a 2 ha sido para el italiano Christian Merli (Osella FA30). Como ya hemos hablado en la primera carrera las diferencias se han reducido debido al cambio de reglamento.
Gran batalla por la segunda posici贸n de la Categor铆a 2 que se ha decidido por menos de un segundo, finalmente Petr Trnka (Norma M20 FC) ha sido segundo y Joseba Iraola (Nova NP01) ha sido tercero. Se esperan grandes duelos esta temporada entre estos dos grandes pilotos.

La vittoria assoluta e di categoria 2 猫 andata all'italiano Christian Merli (Osella FA30). Come abbiamo gi脿 discusso nella prima gara, le differenze si sono ridotte a causa del cambio di regolamento.
