The European HillClimb Championship heads to the spectacular St. Ursanne - Les Rangiers this weekend, one of the fastest and most iconic events on the European calendar. The historic Swiss hill climb, featuring more than five kilometres of high-speed course, represents one of the biggest challenges of the season for both drivers and teams, making it one of the most eagerly anticipated rounds of the championship every year.


In addition to its demanding layout, the event could prove decisive in the title fight as the championship enters a crucial stage of the season, with every point becoming increasingly important for the contenders. Once again, the event will bring together some of Europe's finest hill climb specialists, promising an exciting weekend in both the battle for the overall victory and the different championship categories.


The biggest absentee will be Christian Merli, one of the most successful drivers in the championship and a regular front-runner at this event. Among the main storylines is the return of French driver Nicolas Werver (Porsche 997), while local favourite Roger Schnellmann (Mitsubishi Evo 8 Helftec) is also set to make a highly anticipated appearance with his spectacular Hillclimb Monster.


European HillClimb Championship – Category 2

Category 2 will once again provide the fight for the overall victory at St. Ursanne - Les Rangiers, with a high-quality field of prototypes and single-seaters expected to deliver another thrilling contest.


Championship leader Joseba Iraola Lanzagorta (Nova NP01) arrives in Switzerland aiming to strengthen his position at the top of the standings. His main challenger will be Czech driver Petr Trnka (Nova Proto NP01-2 C), one of the fastest competitors in the championship and always a strong contender for victory. Además de su exigente trazado, la prueba puede resultar decisiva en la lucha por el campeonato, ya que el certamen entra en una fase clave de la temporada y cada punto comienza a ser fundamental para los aspirantes al título. La prueba volverá a reunir a algunos de los mejores especialistas europeos de la montaña, ofreciendo un fin de semana repleto de emoción tanto en la lucha por la victoria absoluta como en las diferentes categorías.
